One of the hadiths conveyed by Imam Muslim states “Islam began as something strange and will return to [being] something strange just as [it was] in the beginning, so glad tidings to the strangers (Ghuraba)”.

In this painting, I depict Ghuraba as a plant growing among embers. The plant, even alone, continued to grow even though the surrounding area was very hot.
