This painting was inspired by Al-Quran letter Al-Hadid verse 25 which states that iron is a material that was sent down to earth.
Iron is a unique material. Although it cannot be separated from human life, iron did not come from the earth. Earth could not produce it. Iron came from giant stars that exploded, supernova.
In this painting, I depict that concept by placing above ancient earth. Gears and chains represent iron. Partition of globe at right bottom corner represents the earth. The melting watercolor represents iron that is being sent down.
This watercolor painting combines the spontaneity effect of watercolor and realistic forms. Wet-on-wet technique is used in some parts.
