Learning is an obligation for every Muslim. This is like the hadith conveyed by Ibn Majah, “Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim.”

For this reason, in the course of the history of Islamic civilization, many educational institutions have emerged. In Indonesia, it is called ‘pesantren’ (Islamic boarding school).

I think of the ‘pesantren’ that emerge, which educate ‘santri’ (students), as flowers that grow in a country.

This painting is from the “Sharing Painting Auction” program. The proceeds from the sale of the paintings are shared with the Panatagama Putri Islamic Boarding School, Sleman, Yogyakarta.
